What is the Learning Teams Course about?

HOPLAB’s Learning Teams course focuses on the concept of operational learning and the Learning Teams process as it applies to Human & Organisational Performance (HOP). Learning Teams are a powerful approach for gaining greater insight into and understanding everyday operations. They are now being used by progressive organisations all over the world to review and learn from unexpected outcomes – such as accidents, incidents and near misses – as well as from normal work.

Managers from operations, safety, business improvement and quality will find this program both highly engaging and incredibly beneficial personally and for their organisation.

What does this course program include?

This course will demonstrate the Learning Teams approach and the value of taking time to learn before acting. As well as understanding the methods and techniques for coaching and facilitating Learning Teams, the course includes discussion about what can hinder learning – such as bias and production pressure – in order to conduct better operational learning on site.

A stepwise approach to conducting learning teams is weaved into the courseware so the concept can be taken back to your workplace and put into action. Our goal is to build your confidence and capacity to conduct Learning Teams in your own workplace.

Every group in an organisation has a different yet vital role to play to support the successful adoption of the HOP approach. All require a solid grasp of the philosophy, but the actions required will vary based on position in the organisation.
