HOPLAB’s Learning Teams course focuses on the concept of operational learning and the Learning Teams process as it applies to Human & Organisational Performance (HOP). Learning Teams are a powerful approach for gaining greater insight into and understanding everyday operations. They are now being used by progressive organisations all over the world to review and learn from unexpected outcomes – such as accidents, incidents and near misses – as well as from normal work.
Managers from operations, safety, business improvement and quality will find this program both highly engaging and incredibly beneficial personally and for their organisation.
This course will demonstrate the Learning Teams approach and the value of taking time to learn before acting. As well as understanding the methods and techniques for coaching and facilitating Learning Teams, the course includes discussion about what can hinder learning – such as bias and production pressure – in order to conduct better operational learning on site.
A stepwise approach to conducting learning teams is weaved into the courseware so the concept can be taken back to your workplace and put into action. Our goal is to build your confidence and capacity to conduct Learning Teams in your own workplace.
Every group in an organisation has a different yet vital role to play to support the successful adoption of the HOP approach. All require a solid grasp of the philosophy, but the actions required will vary based on position in the organisation. HOPLAB has developed a suite of HOP and Learning Teams courses focused around the unique needs and challenges of each key group.
Talk to us about the courses that are available in-house by arrangement or as part of a wider HOP engagement.
HOPLAB has been supporting organisations to adopt HOP and Operational Learning since 2018.
Our HOP Fundamentals and HOP & Learning Teams courses were the first in Australia and New Zealand, and have now grown to attract a global audience of safety professionals interested in learning the foundations of HOP.
We work with each organisation to understand how work happens and guide decision makers to reflect, learn and grow – harnessing the potential that already exists within its people. Because of that, we can offer a unique perspective and a more organic approach that drives more sustainable results.
