Southac International Group has welcomed two new faces to the HOPLAB team to support the delivery of Human & Organisational Performance.

We’ve had a busy start to 2024, welcoming two new faces to our HOPLAB team at Southpac International Group.

Oliver Mellors joins us as Director of HOP & Safety Innovation, bringing an extensive background in Human Factors and Human & Organisational Performance to Southpac. As well as diverse roles with regulators, offshore exploration and production, onshore major hazard sites and manufacturing, Ollie has recently managed the implementation of HOP across a global organisation.

Ollie’s expertise as a Chartered Ergonomist and Human Factors Professional, combined with his academic background with an MSc in Engineering Psychology and Ergonomics, and postgraduate qualifications in Safety Critical Non-technical Skills and Health and Safety Law, enriches our strategic approach to embedding HOP principles in complex operational environments.

Tim Fitch is our new HOP & Safety Innovation Specialist and joins our facilitation team to deliver HOP training and coaching to our portfolio of clients. Tim is a passionate advocate of Human & Organisational Performance, having been instrumental in supporting organisational learning within the mining sector.

With over 10 years of experience in Workplace Health and Safety across mining and construction industries, Tim brings a wealth of knowledge in developing, implementing, and managing health and safety systems. His ability to translate and deliver training to diverse audiences will be instrumental in our capacity-building initiatives, further enhancing our client engagements.

The addition of Ollie and Tim to our team significantly increases our capability to deliver more HOP projects with clients, enabling us to expand our reach and deepen our impact in fostering safer, more resilient organisations. Their combined expertise not only complements our existing strengths but also introduces new perspectives and methodologies into our work. This expansion allows us to tailor our services more closely to the needs of our clients, ensuring that we continue to lead the way in innovative safety solutions.
